The Toronto Maple Leafs traded left wing John Anderson to the Quebec Nordiques for defenseman Brad Maxwell.
Anderson, 28, had played for the Maple Leafs for eight seasons. Last season, he had 32 goals and 31 assists in 75 games.
Maxwell, 28, played in 50 games for Quebec last season, scoring 7 goals and adding 24 assists.
