Gaddi Vasquez, a community relations representative in the office of Gov. George Deukmejian, has been named the governor’s deputy appointments secretary. Vasquez, 30, who will be paid $43,680 a year in her new post, had served as the Latino liaison in the governor’s Office of Community Relations since January. Before that she was executive assistant to Orange County Supervisor Bruce Nestande.
