Williams Stops Ferguson in 10th Round

Carl (The Truth) Williams won a wild heavyweight battle with Jesse Ferguson Saturday, stopping Gerguson in the 10th round after being knocked down twice.
There were four knockdowns in the bout, Williams’ first since he lost a 15-round decision to International Boxing Federation heavyweight champion Larry Holmes in May.
Williams, of White Plains, N.Y., improved to 17-1 with 13 knockouts, while Gerguson dropped to 13-1.
