Auto Mall Plan Approved: A $1.4-million construction project to clear the way for a planned seven-dealer auto mall has been approved by the city’s Redevelopment Agency. The Griffith Co. will construct new streets, gutters, curbs, lighting and utility lines on the 44-acre site, located on Edinger Avenue at the Costa Mesa Freeway. The work is expected to be completed by December.
