Linebacker Matt Blair of the Minnesota Vikings underwent arthroscopic surgery for removal of a bone spur from his left knee, the NFL team reported.
“There was a large chip--really a bone spur--that broke off during the game and it was removed,” team surgeon Dr. David Fischer said.
Blair, a 12-year veteran, was placed on the injured reserve list Monday after injuring the knee in Sunday’s 28-21 upset of the San Francisco 49ers.
