Share

Scott Anderson rushed for 72 yards in 21 carries and John Wigmore caught a seven-yard touchdown pass from Paul Rodriquez as visiting Costa Mesa High School defeated Bolsa Grande, 10-6, in front of 800.

Bolsa Grande scored first when Damon Fisher, who rushed 12 times for 62 yards, scored on a one-yard run in the second quarter.

But that was all the scoring the Matadors could manage. The Mustangs took the lead later in the second quarter when Wigmore scored and Paul Grady kicked the extra point. Grady kicked a 23-yard field goal in the third quarter to add to Costa Mesa’s lead.
