John Jefferson was traded by the Green Bay Packers to the Cleveland Browns one day after ending a long holdout and signing a one-year contract. The Packers received an undisclosed 1987 draft choice and the NFL rights to Tom Robison, 293-pound offensive tackle presently the property of the New Jersey Generals.
Jefferson, 29, came to Green Bay in a 1981 trade. He has caught 348 passes for 5,684 yards and 47 touchdowns.
