Local News in Brief : Police Find His Scanty Running Suit Arresting
A 22-year-old Van Nuys man who police said startled several motorists by running down a Van Nuys street early Monday in a pair of sheer women’s bikini briefs, a bra, tennis shoes and goggles, was arrested on suspicion of outraging public decency, police said.
Jonathen Bratt, 22, was arrested after an ambulance crew flagged down two Los Angeles patrol officers at about 5 a.m. and reported that a witness had told them that a nude woman was running down a residential street west of Van Nuys Boulevard. The officers said they saw the suspect walking down Valerio Street and arrested him after he tried to duck behind a tree.
Bratt was taken to Van Nuys Jail and released later Monday on $500 bail. Arraignment on the misdemeanor charge has been set for Oct. 3 in Van Nuys Municipal Court, police said.
