Many of former heavyweight champion Leon Spinks’ belongings were auctioned off during the weekend to satisfy an unpaid bill with a moving and storage company.

Jack Hall of Hall’s Auction Sale said Saturday’s auction brought in about $5,000, which was less than expected. He said he did not know whether Spinks’ title belts were in boxes of personal items that had been set aside before the auction or if they had been sold.

Spinks won the title from Muhammad Ali in 1978. Spinks’ brother, Michael, is currently the heavyweight champion.
