Hey, Trojan Supporter: This Spud’s for You

I hadn’t realized how desperate Trojan fans had become until I read Richard Linde’s letter (Viewpoint, Oct. 5) in which he boasts that the Trojans looked better in their “meat and potatoes” loss than the “quiche-eater” Bruins did in theirs.

I suggest the numbers speak for themselves. The Bruins scored 40 points against an Arizona State defense that shut out USC. This tells exactly who’s eating what. Perhaps, Linde should stick to reading the food section; there’s certainly nothing nourishing for him in the sports section.
