Cyclist Hurt in Crash With Sister’s Auto
A 20-year-old Northridge man was in critical condition late Saturday after he was thrown from his motorcycle when it was rear-ended by his sister’s car, Los Angeles police said.
Bruce Ferrall was driving on Parthenia Street at 2:20 a.m. Saturday when he stopped suddenly in the left turn lane at Lindley Avenue, Officer Ron Hutchison said. Ferrall’s motorcycle was hit by a car driven by his sister, Allison Hustad, 25, of Long Beach, who was following him.
Hustad was arrested on suspicion of felony drunk driving, Hutchison said.
Ferrall, who suffered a fractured skull, is on a life-support system at Northridge Hospital Medical Center. Hutchison said Ferrall had not been wearing a helmet.
