Shadeed, winner of the English 2,000 Guineas horse race earlier this year, will retire to stud in Kentucky at the end of the season, his handlers announced at Ascot, England.
After racing in the Breeders’ Cup at Aqueduct, the colt will stand at Robert Clay’s Three Chimneys Farm alongside 1977 Triple Crown winner Seattle Slew and his son, Slew o’ Gold, for the 1986 breeding season.
Shadeed will be moved later to owner Sheik Maktoum al Maktoum’s Gainsborough Farm, which is still under construction.
