Servite Replaces El Modena as County’s Top-Ranked Team

High-scoring Servite High School is the new No. 1 team in the Orange County Sportswriters’ Assn. prep football poll, replacing El Modena.
El Modena, which had the No. 1 spot for four weeks, dropped to third following a 14-0 loss to rival Foothill. Foothill is ranked 10th following its upset victory.
Servite is the fourth highest scoring team in the county with 132 points. The Friars are 5-0 and open Angelus League play on Friday night at Pius X.
Valencia ranks first in the county in defense with 17 points allowed and second in scoring with 134 points. The Tigers are ranked fourth.
