With 49 seconds left in the game defensive back Cornelius Taylor of Chatsworth stepped in front of a Ray Daniels pass at the Chatsworth 29 yard-line to seal the victory. It was Taylor’s second interception of the fourth quarter. . . . Spence Durham of Chatsworth ran 27 yards to set up his one-yard touchdown blast with 4:00 left in the game. . . . Ray Daniels of Taft hit Monty Gilbreath down the left sidline for a 40-yard touchdown strike with 10:25 left in the first half . . . John Dunn of Chatsworth blocked a 22-yard field goal attempt with 11:35 remaining. KEY PLAYERS
Spence Durham (C) carried the ball nine times for 47 yards and a touchdown. Monty Gilbreath (T) had four catches for 84 yards, carried the ball twice for 17 yards and scored two touchdowns, one on a reception and the another on a 48-yard interception return. Ray Daniels (T) was 11 of 28 for 184 yards and one touchdown. John Dunn (C) blocked a field goal and pressured the quarterback all night. Rogelio Vargas (C) was 8 of 15 for 76 yards and carried the ball nine times for 30 yards.
