Garcia Seeks Title in Marriott Event

Santa Ana’s George Garcia will vie for the vacant State bantamweight title in the featured bout of tonight’s boxing card at the Irvine Marriott.
Garcia (21-3-1) will be matched against Luis Hernandez of Redlands in the 12-round match at 118 pounds.
On the undercard, Danny (Magic) Lopez of Orange faces Steve Renwick of New Zealand in an eight-round special event. Also, one of the Weaver triplets, Lloyd, will make his pro debut in a four-round bout against Tony Paisano of Pasadena.
Tickets in all price categories will go on sale at the hotel today at 10 a.m.
