Media Appeal Is No Way to Determine Champions
While the 1985 World Series may be void of glitter centers, beer commercial superstars and razzle-dazzle media hyperbole, this contest is not without a sense of poignancy. The two teams in this fall classic got there the old-fashioned way. They earned it! As a sportswriter, would that Jim Murray was as deserving!
