PCAA Roundup : Fresno State Scores 35 Points in Second Half to Win, 38-19

Anthony Mosley and James Williams each scored two touchdowns to fuel a 35-point second half which carried Fresno State to a 38-19 victory over Utah State Saturday in a Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. game at Logan, Utah.
After trailing 7-3 at the half, the Bulldogs took the lead for good on strong safety Mike Stewart’s 62-yard interception return, one of three interceptions Fresno turned into second-half touchdowns.
Williams led all rushers with 106 yards in 18 carries. Lavale Thomas added 84 yards rushing and Mosely 40 for Fresno State, 6-1 and 4-0. Utah State’s record is 2-6 and 2-4.
San Jose St. 34, Pacific 26--K.C. Clark scored two touchdowns and rushed for 139 yards in 24 carries as San Jose State broke its five-game losing streak in a PCAA game at San Jose.
Quarterback Doug Allen completed 17 of 27 passes for 267 yards for San Jose State, which is 3-6 overall and 2-3 in the PCAA.
Pacific, 4-4 and 2-2, was led by wide receiver Kurt Heinrich who scored 2 touchdowns, one for 34 yards and the other for 8 yards.
SW Louisiana 20, Nevada Las Vegas 13--Defensive lineman Joe DeForest intercepted a pass and ran 20 yards for a touchdown with 1:39 remaining at Las Vegas to give Southwestern Louisiana its fourth win against five losses.
Las Vegas, which fell to 4-4, had a last-ditch effort to tie the game nullified when wide receiver Reggie Hobson was ruled out of the end zone after catching an apparent 13-yard touchdown pass from Stallworth with 16 seconds remaining.
