Really Fancy Wins Anoakia Stakes at Santa Anita

Favored Really Fancy got past Tomboy Blues in the final strides and won the $86,600 Anoakia Stakes for 2-year-old fillies Saturday at Santa Anita’s Oak Tree meeting.
Really Fancy, ridden by Chris McCarron, finished a neck in front of Tomboy Blues, ridden by Jack Kaenel. Virginia Colony, ridden by Fernando Toro, was third, another 2 3/4 lengths back.
The winner was clocked in 1:25 for seven furlongs over a fast track and paid $6, $3.60 and $3. Tomboy Blues returned $6.20 and $4.40, and Virginia Colony paid $7.20 to show.
