St. Louis Cardinal pitcher Joaquin Andujar, who ended the season by being thrown out of Game 7 of the World Series Sunday night at Kansas City, will miss the first 10 days of the 1986 season, Commissioner Peter Ueberroth ruled Tuesday.

Andujar was fined the maximum $500 and suspended without pay for 10 days for his outburst, directed at plate umpire Don Denkinger.

After being ejected, Andujar took a bat and destroyed a clubhouse toilet and sink, for which he will also have to make restitution.

Ueberroth also said that he will be meeting with Andujar in the near future concerning testimony at the drug trial in Pittsburgh in which the Cardinal right-hander’s name was mentioned.
