An Echo Park fire caused $40,000 damage to an apartment at 1430 N. Glendale Blvd., displacing a family of six who lived there. The fire was confined to one room on the second floor of the six-unit, two-story apartment building. No injuries were reported. Firefighters estimated damage at $30,000 to the building and $10,000 to the room’s contents. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
