Book Covers Are Design Classics

NEW YORK — Something new in books has been introduced by Harry Abrams Inc., which is publishing a series called “Giftwraps by Artists,” each containing 16 large sheets of full-color wrapping paper in classic patterns by artists, designers and craftsmen.
The first two volumes in the series have wrapping papers patterned after the designs of the 19th-Century post artist William Morris and the 20th-Century post-Art Nouveau Style, whose members included Josef Hoffmann, and Kolo Moser. Each sheet is folded to fit the size of the bound book and perforated for easy removal.
