Football Hero Lee to Become Citizen Lee

UCLA kicker John Lee, who was born in Seoul, South Korea, is scheduled to become an American citizen at a ceremony Wednesday in Los Angeles.

Lee played football at Downey High School and last season was named a first team All-American.

“I’m very happy about it,” Lee said Saturday. “Last year, I made All-American but I didn’t think I deserved it because I wasn’t an American. This year, it’s a different story.”
