SDSU’s Slaughter Gets East-West Bid
SAN DIEGO —
Webster Slaughter of San Diego State has been invited to play in the East-West Shrine Game on Jan. 11 in Stanford Stadium at Palo Alto, it was announced Tuesday.
Slaughter is fourth in the nation in receiving, averaging 6.6 receptions a game. His 66 catches rank eighth on SDSU’s single-season list. He has 106 career receptions, seventh on the all-time Aztec list.
SDSU has two games remaining. It plays host to New Mexico on Saturday night, then plays at Hawaii on Nov. 30.
