Golden West College rallied from a 28-14 deficit with 23 straight fourth-quarter points Friday night to defeat Bakersfield, 37-28, in the season finale for both in LeBard Stadium.

The Rustlers, who snapped a three-game losing streak, finished the year with a Pac-9 Conference record of 4-4 and overall record of 4-5-1. Bakersfield, which lost its third straight, finished 3-5 and 5-5.

Gene Egan tied a Golden West record with three touchdown receptions, but it was a 33-yard field goal by Darren Tomasick with six minutes left that broke a 28-28 tie and gave the Rustlers the lead for good at 31-28.
