Motorcyclist Hits Light Pole, Dies
A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday after he fumbled with a helmet attached to the motorcycle, lost control and struck a concrete light pole, Costa Mesa police said.
Angel Fidel Sanson, 21, of Costa Mesa was pronounced dead after he was taken to Fountain Valley Regional Hospital, Sgt. Tim Holbrook said.
Holbrook said Sanson’s attention apparently was diverted when he adjusted a helmet.
Angel struck a curb, bounced off the motorcycle and hit a light pole at about 3 p.m. He had been southbound on Harbor Boulevard, Holbrook said.
