Son Held After Father Is Beaten in the Head

A 61-year-old Simi Valley man was in critical conditon Thurdsay night with head injuries, and his 22-year-old son was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, Simi Valley police said.
The victim, Arthur Norberg, was taken to Simi Valley Adventist Hospital after police recieved a call at 2:35 p.m. reporting a dispute at his home in the 1500 block of Olympic Street Lt. Bob Klamser said.
Officers found Norberg unconscious inside the house and his son William, was taken into custody there, Klamser said.
The father and son had been heatedly arguing before the elder Norberg was struck over the head with a blunt instrument, Klamser said.
