EL CAJON, Calif. —
The bodies of four people, all French citizens, were pulled Friday from the wreckage of a single-engine plane that slammed into a fog-shrouded hillside near here.
The San Diego County coroner’s office identified the victims as Frederick Nemes, 29, the pilot; his wife, Olga Birdier Nemes, 27, both of San Diego; and Mrs. Nemes’ parents, Claude R. Birdier, 52, and Jacqueline Birder, 52, of Pont-sur-Yonne, France. The four had rented the plane New Year’s Day to fly to Las Vegas.
