Woman Dies After Crash at Bridge

A Newport Beach woman died Friday after her car struck a guardrail at the approach to the Santa Ana River Bridge on Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach, police said.
Police said Jane Donchey, 22, was taken to Fountain Valley Regional Hospital’s trauma center, where she died at 7:19 p.m., nearly two hours after the accident.
Police said the cause of the accident, which forced the closure of Pacific Coast Highway at the crash scene for an hour, was not known.
