Northridge Man Drives Over Cliff, Dies
A 21-year-old Northridge man drove his new BMW off a cliff near Seminole Hot Springs, plunging more than 500 feet to his death as the car burst into flames upon impact, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Wednesday.
The man, Aziz Hussain, apparently made no effort to turn from the edge of the cliff, said Sgt. Kent Scholten of the sheriff’s Malibu substation. A hiker told deputies that Hussain’s car was speeding south about 2 p.m. Tuesday on Kanan Dume Road shortly before going over the cliff about a mile south of Latigo Canyon Road, Scholten said.
