San Diego State Faces Wyoming at Sports Arena
San Diego State will conclude the first half of its Western Athletic Conference basketball season by playing host to first-place Wyoming at 7:30 tonight at the Sports Arena.
The Aztecs (5-12) are fifth in the WAC with a 4-3 record. They have yet to lose at home or win on the road in conference play. If SDSU wins tonight it will pull into a fourth-place tie with New Mexico, one-game behind second-place Texas El Paso and Brigham Young.
Wyoming is 4-1 in the WAC and 10-7 overall. The Cowboys have one of the conference’s tallest front lines with 6-foot 11-inch center Eric Leckner and forwards Dave Lodgins (6-10) and John Sommers (6-6).
SDSU will begin the second half of conference play with road games Thursday against Colorado State and Friday against Air Force.
