Robber gets $1,100: An apparently unarmed robber fled with about $1,100 Wednesday from American Savings & Loan Assn., 801 Pacific Coast Highway, police said. The bandit, described as about 30 years old, 6 feet tall, 180 to 190 pounds, and wearing a plaid shirt and light-colored pants, approached a teller and demanded “all her money,” Police Sgt. John Wachtman said. He then fled on foot.
