OH, OZZY

Share

As a 22-year-old adolescent and a California high school graduate, I had no trouble detecting the anti-alcohol and anti-suicide sentiments expressed in Ozzy Osbourne’s song, “Suicide Solution.”

Ozzy makes his ideas easy to understand with lines like:

Now you live inside a bottle,

the Reaper’s traveling at full throttle.

I would like to thank radio station KNAC for their format change (Pop Eye, Jan. 19 and Calendar Letters, Jan. 26) and especially for playing Ozzy’s new song “The Ultimate Sin,” which gives me a reason to exist.

My words may be loaded, but I am sober thanks to the clean adrenalin “high” provided by heavy-metal music.

P.S. Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” takes on new and enlightening characteristics when played at maximum volume.
