CHP Officer to Be Honored
WEST COVINA —
California Highway Patrol Officer Tom Barta of the Baldwin Park office will be honored by the West Covina Kiwanis Club as the 1985 Law Enforcement Officer of the Year at noon Feb. 24 at the Hungry Tiger Restaurant, 2200 E. Garvey Ave., West Covina.
A CHP officer for four years, Barta has worked as a vehicle theft officer and an instructor in arrest methods.
