Undefeated super-welterweight Matthew Hilton of Canada scored a ninth-round knockout over former three-time titleholder Wilfred Benitez in a scheduled 10-rounder at Montreal.
Hilton finished off Benitez at 2:57 of the ninth round with a flurry of left and right jabs. Benitez also was decked in the first round by a hard right.
Hilton, 20, raised his record to 20-0. Benitez, 27, a native of Puerto Rico, dropped to 49-5-1.
