Michigan State basketball star Scott Skiles, one of the nation’s scoring leaders, would serve a divided 30-day jail term for a probation violation to avoid missing classes or any of the basketball season, his lawyer said.
The divided term, part during spring break and part at the end of the school year, is part of a tentative agreement with prosecutors who filed to revoke Skiles’ probation on a misdemeanor drug conviction after he was arrested Nov. 7 in East Lansing, Mich., on a charge of drunken driving.
