San Diego
The body of a 20-year-old transient was found fatally stabbed early Friday by the door of a Southeast San Diego church, a police spokesman said.
Jose Luis Cortes, 20, died of a stab wound to the left side of his chest, police spokesman Bill Robinson said. Police found the body next to the Israelite Church of God in Christ, 3195 L St.
Police followed a trail of blood left by Cortes to the 3100 block of Webster Street, where investigators believe the stabbing took place.
Robinson said there are no suspects in the case.
