Driver Hurt by Car Bomb
A Pacoima man suffered a leg injury Saturday in a bomb explosion that occurred after he had started his car in a North Hollywood parking lot.
Keith A. Curry, 22, a machinist, was in fair condition at County-USC Medical Center, where he was being treated for a deep leg cut.
Police believe the explosive device was attached to the left front part of Curry’s car. It exploded after he had driven about 10 feet in the parking lot of his girlfriend’s apartment in the 6700 block of North Clybourne Avenue.
Police knew of no motive and had no suspects.
