Atlanta Brave outfielder Claudell Washington agreed to accept penalties imposed by baseball Commissioner Peter Ueberroth for past involvement with drugs.

Washington was one of 11 players ordered by Ueberroth to donate a portion of their salaries and do community service work or face suspensions.

Under the agreement, Washington will pay 5% of his $750,000 salary to an Atlanta drug rehabilitation center, perform 50 hours of community service in each of the next two years and undergo random drug testing for the rest of his career.
