SPRING SPORTS HIGHLIGHTS : Suaraz Homers to Lead Chaminade

Pablo Suaraz hit a three-run home run in the first inning, then took the mound and pitched a two-hitter to lift Chaminade to the Santa Fe League win.
Singles by Tom Ressler and Sheamus Martin were the only Bell-Jeff hits. Suarez (2-0) struck out eight and walked one.
Scott Stuber singled twice for Chaminade, which is 6-1 overall and 3-0 in league. Bell-Jeff is 1-3 overall and 0-2 in league.
St. Genevieve 7, Pater Noster 1--Rick Gonzalez (3-2) pitched a complete game for St. Genevieve, allowing only three hits in the Sante Fe League game. Sophomore Alfonzo Gutierrez was 2 for 3, including a solo home run in the sixth inning for the Valiants, who are 2-1 in league. Pater Noster is 1-2.
