An 18-year-old motorcyclist who looked to his side to observe an earlier three-car accident was killed Friday evening in Granada Hills when he struck a car that turned in front of him, Los Angeles police said.
The motorcyclist, Burl Bayless of Simi Valley, was eastbound on Rinaldi Street about 6:45 p.m. when a westbound motorist started to turn left onto White Oak Avenue, Sgt. Jay Taylor said.
The man driving the car, whose name was not available, said he didn’t see the motorcyclist, who was killed instantly, police said.
