A New Jersey grand jury indicted former heavyweight boxing contender Chuck Wepner on cocaine trafficking charges that carry a maximum penalty of life in prison, prosecutors said.
Wepner, 47, was a mid-level dealer who obtained his cocaine from a Staten Island supplier and then distributed it to others, Ron Kercado, assistant Middlesex County prosecutor, said.
