An Orange County coroner’s official identified the 2-year-old child killed in the driveway of her Santa Ana home Friday as Christina Gonzales. The girl suffered head injuries when she was hit by a car, driven by her uncle, who thought the girl was clear of the vehicle as he backed out of the driveway, Santa Ana police said. The girl’s mother, Peggy Gonzales, and her three children had left the car driven by her brother, Andrew Vigio, in the driveway of Gonzales’ home in the 4500 block of West 3rd Street in Santa Ana, police said. Vigio believed everyone was clear of the car when he began backing out, but for some reason the 2-year-old remained behind the car, police said. The child was pronounced dead at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital.
