Overcast skies were expected to greet Easter worshipers this morning at sunrise services in the Southland.

National Weather Service officials predicted clearing skies in the mountain, desert and coastal areas of San Diego County. Partly cloudy, muggy weather was forecast for this afternoon, with high temperatures in the mid-70s.

Easter celebrations Saturday, including Easter egg hunts at the Boys Club of East County in El Cajon, Horton Plaza and Seaport Village in San Diego, Grape Day Park in Escondido, John Landes Park in Oceanside and Kellog Park at La Jolla Shores, were marked by warm, balmy weather. The high temperature at San Diego’s Lindbergh Field was 71 degrees.
