Police Team Up in Cocaine Case Arrest

Huntington Beach and Long Beach police arrested a Long Beach man Wednesday night after he allegedly tried to sell two kilos of cocaine to undercover officers, a police spokesman said.

Dennis Bruce Croghan, 52, was arrested in Seaport Village in Long Beach, Sgt. Chuck Poe of the Huntington Beach police said, adding that Croghan had been the subject of an undercover investigation by Huntington Beach police for some time.

The cocaine, which had a street value of between $200,000 and $250,000, was seized by authorities. Also seized were a 55-foot sailboat and a 1985 Ford Thunderbird that belong to Croghan, Poe said. Croghan was booked at the Huntington Beach jail.
