Motorcyclist Killed: A motorcyclist was killed when he veered off the Garden Grove Freeway west of Valley View Street, the California Highway Patrol reported. Richard Lee Smith, 45, of Fountain Valley died at 4:45 p.m. Friday when his motorcycle struck a guardrail.
