Gunshot Victim’s Body Discovered by Hunters

CAMPO — The body of an unidentified man who had been shot several times was discovered by three hunters early Saturday morning on Buckman Springs Road, sheriff’s homicide detectives reported.
The dead man--whose name was being withheld pending notification of relatives--was found at about 1 a.m. by the hunters in a remote area about 5 1/2 miles south of Interstate 8.
According to the county coroner’s office, the victim’s body had several gunshot wounds.
