Police arrested six armed-robbery suspects Tuesday, just hours after they allegedly broke into a house and robbed the residents at gunpoint, an Anaheim police spokesman said.

Six robbers armed with handguns entered a North Baxter Street home about 10 p.m. Monday, Anaheim Police Lt. Jack Parra said. “The family . . . was awakened, held at gunpoint and robbed” of cash, jewelry and other valuables, he said.

Several hours later, uniformed police officers stopped a car at the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and Chapman Avenue because its four occupants fit the description of some of the robbery suspects, Parra said.

Information provided by the quartet led police to an Anaheim motel room, where they found the other suspects, plus cash, property, guns and other evidence linking the group to Monday night’s robbery, he said.

Hau Yuan Nguyen, 22, of Riverside was held Tuesday at Anaheim City Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail on suspicion of robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of stolen property.

Names of the other five suspects were withheld because they are juveniles--two 16-year-old girls and three boys, ages 15 to 17. They were held on similar charges at Orange County Juvenile Hall, Parra said.

Police released no estimate of the value of the property stolen from the Baxter Street home Monday night.
