Jaime Garza Stops Mario Gomez in Fourth Round
Former WBC super-bantamweight champion Jaime Garza knocked out Mario Gomez of San Antonio at 1:12 of the fourth round to highlight the boxing card at the Irvine Marriott Monday night.
Garza (125) controlled the bout from the start, staggering the less experienced Gomez in the third round before finishing him off in the fourth. Garza raised his record to 43-1-1. Gomez (123 1/2) is 19-7.
On the undercard at 162 pounds, Lee Sentinella of Westminster fought to a draw with Milton Bush of Huntington Beach.
