Rosary, Funeral Scheduled for Former State High Court Justice
Rosary for retired California Supreme Court Justice Louis H. Burke will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Nicaso, Calif.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Rita’s Roman Catholic Church in Fairfax, with interment following at Valley Memorial Park Cemetery in Novato.
Burke, 81, a native of Montebello who served on the state’s high court from 1964 to 1974, died Monday in a hospital at Fort Bragg, following a stroke.
