SDSU, Pacific Split Softball Doubleheader
San Diego State’s Lisa Michie (10-19) pitched 11 scoreless innings Saturday, powering the Aztecs to a 1-0 Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. victory over University of the Pacific in the first game of doubleheader. Pacific won the second game, 8-0.
San Diego State falls to 5-18 in league, 20-32 overall. Pacific improved to 13-8 and 30-16-1.
Aztec Stacy Goff scored the winning run in the first game. Goff singled, then went to second on a fielder’s choice. Losing pitcher Tammy Joslin (15-8) threw a wild pitch, and catcher Dana Kuczon could not get the ball quickly enough to tag Goff at the plate.
